To achieve comfortable and economical use, pay attention to the following tips:

  1.How does air source heat pumps work?

An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can extract heat from the air even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 20° C.

2.The benefits of air source heat pumps?

One Bill ? An air source heat pump runs on electricity, so there's no need to pay for gas, oil or solid fuels to heat your home. You eliminate the standing charge for mains gas supply, delivery charge for oil and solid fuel, etc.
Save space ? An air source heat pump system is compact, and requires no storage space for fuel.
Energy Saving? Air to water heat pump can make Energy Saving up to 75% than traditional electrical water heater. ( see FAQ 1)

3.What are the environmental aspects to a heat pump?

Heat pumps are very environmental-- friendly, they have no emissions and up to 80% of the energy is renewable. If you decide to use a heat pump in conjunction with a Solar PV or Wind system as your electric source up to 100% of the energy that you will be using will now be renewable.

4.Can I use a Heat Pump with radiators / under floor / air blower heating?

Standard radiators operate with water temperatures of 60°C to 70°C. Under floor heating and air blower systems can operate at temperatures as low as 40°C. Heat pumps are far more efficient when operating at these lower temperatures however you can still use an air source heat pump to contribute greatly to the energy requirement of the heating system when using radiators.

5.How noisy are heat pumps?

Heat pumps are generally very quiet, noise levels equivalent to that of a fridge. As the pump is outside it is very rare that this is noticed in the house at all.

6.If the temperature drops below zero will my Air Source heat pump work?

Yes, POWER WORLD Air Source heat pumps can operate efficiently down to temperatures as low as -20°C.

7.Does my heat pump need servicing?

No. We recommend that you monitor the control unit to ensure that it is operating within normal parameters but usually there is no need for regular servicing.

8.Can a system be placed in an old building?

Yes, systems have been installed into all types of building that are working effectively. More engineering design is required on older and complex buildings than newly constructed buildings and we will be happy to specify the system for the old buildings.

  9.What is the hottest water the hot water heat pump could make?

It is 60 degrees.

  10.What is the range of ambient running temperature of the unit?

It is among -7 degree ~43 degree.

  11.How to Reduce Air Heat Pump Noise?

   The normal highest for heat pump is 50 to 60dB(A), but some intel-brand can make that to 43dB(A). Generally it is acceptable within 60dB(A), which is similar to indoor talking.So we can reduce noise from two aspects:
      (1), Compressor shake: Normal compressor will rub with floor, or will impact with tubes and cases.
      (2), Fans: As the unscientific installation of the heat pump, it will case shrill voice.
